Cruise June 3-June 25, 2008 Athens to Barcelona-Lufthansa-Business Class
My trip took me from Athens, Greece, to Barcelona, Spain: Athens, Kusadasi (Turkey), Santorini (Greece), Sarande (Albania), Split (Croatia), 3 days in Venice, Dubvonik (Croatia), Sorrento, Civitavecchia for Rome, Livorno for Florence, Monte Carlo/Monaco, Marseille (France), Barcelona (Spain).
From Monte Carlo I took an excursion to the hilltop town of Eze and to the Villa & Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat
I had lots of opportunities to converse with locals in Italian, French or Spanish. Many people in Croatia spoke Italian and/or English. In Albania I was totally lost, and very, very few spoke English. Albania is certainly a developing 3rd world country, and it is still very inexpensive if you would like to buy beach front property! Incredibly, NO smoking indoors in France, Italy and Spain!
I have included only a few of the 117 pictures that I took.
